Transitions

Namaste Beloveds,
Happy 2007! The new year is well underway and issuing many transitions... The winter seeds are stirring underneath the snow listening to those angel voices urging, "Grow, grow...." I am realigning with my purpose and passions and listening, listening, listening. And yes, I am growing. One of the things I am listening most intently for is guidance for this seed of "New Thought Families". How do I serve? What is mine to do? How can I break a life long habit of the Lone Ranger and really form a team for this vision? I am hearing that with patience and faith, this seed is indeed germinating and this bloom will surely blossom. I am also hearing that impatience is resistance to what is - and what isn't. The seed doesn't decide when the snow melts but it always does & in perfect timing.
Just as this concept and new web site are unfolding, so is my life. One of the transitions I am making in all of this is separating out this existence of New Thought Families (NTF) and my own (and Jeremiah's) personal (musical) ministry. Our life is at a crossroads now that will help determine more than I can imagine. I have a second interview this week for a position as Director of Youth & Family Ministry for a wonderful Unity church. In many ways, this feels like the perfect place to grow my soul and this NTF vision. I pray for Divine Order in all .... that this church hire their perfect person. This job is the only "real" job I can imagine being willing to do so if it is not mine to serve in this way, I will be re-committing to my dedication as a touring performer with our New Thought music and with Laurie's Stories in the schools. Either way, I am fully committed to this vision, journey, and evolution of New Thought Families. Join me!

Say Yes to New Thought Families!

Divine Together

At least some part of each of us yearns for community, for tribe, for family. "Where 2 or more are gathered ..." There is strength in numbers .... and comfort, joy, reassurance in uniting with those of like mind. There are many ways to connect even in the isolation of our own homes. One of the most amazing is the computer, the internet, and the delightful and dazzling ways that people use this technology. The recording master of our 3 New Thought cds, Stu Boyer, who I like to call Stu-ba-loo, sent out a great power point presentain called "Learn From The Geese" from an unknown author. This amazing and inspiring presentation shows the many reasons why geese fly in a flock. Here's a quote from the presentation: "Like geese ... people who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going quicker and easier than those who try to go it alone." I am trying to learn from the geese; learn from God speaking in the honk.
There are so many ways to be divine together! In our church, community and family circles. In our unspoken connection to everyone we encounter ... grocery clerk, other drivers on the road, spouse or child "pushing our buttons" ... just by silently acknowleding the divine within each of them and how we are indeed divine together.

Listen, Learn, Love, Rejoice!

"You don't have to go looking for love when it is where you came from." - Werner Erhard
LOVE is the 1st theme for the new site set to launch 02/07/2007, www.newthoughtfamilies.com . Though the themes will most likely change monthly, the site is built on love, source, essence. The purpose is to help celebrate and grow that essence for family of all configurations and children of all ages. It is a place to pray and play. The vision that I hold now is that there are set categories with a stone soup format .... stone soup is where we each contribute something and the soup is created. For now, I am the soup base. And the site may launch as broth but you are all invited to bring your carrots, celery, etc. to the pot any time. As our Soup Of The Soul song says, "Our Spirit soup is a celebration for God's gift of life and love. ... from your heart add what you've got. ... It puts our Spirit soup upon God's table." And, of course, everyone is encouraged to at least sip the broth of this Spirit Soup to see what it may stir in you. We are all part of this essence, LOVE.
"Love, not reason, should make decisions. Decisions based on reason and not love are karmic. Therefore, let your heart be your intelligence." - Avatar Adi Da Samraj
May this breath, this moment, this day and this new year of winter seeds germinating yield you a beautiful garden of LOVE reflective of the essence of what you are made of.
