Faith Steps FaithSteps!
God moves in mysterious way His wonders to perform;
He plants his footsteps on the sea and rides upon the storm.
 ~ William Cowper

Namaste Beloveds,

I greet you
with a heart full of faith & Love and an ego dragging it's feet. It is still August and though this month's newsletter has been delayed by the power of procrastination, we are here now to continue the celebration of faith, forgiveness, fortitude, freedom & truth. This month, on & off site, we are on a Faith Walk experiencing delightful, divine blessings of peace & purpose while simultaneously undergoing harsh human hardships that sometimes threaten to separate me from that divine connection. The good news is, I dove to the depths of surrender and am re-surfacing with a stonger faith than ever.
Faith is reacting positively to a negative situation. ~ Dr. Robert Schuller
In my summer promise to see as New Thought scientist, I incorporated a visioning process into my daily practice. The Manifestation Process by John Randolph Price is beautifully written and has been a wonderful, light filled practice. In keeping with the divine biblical teaching we're singing this summer:
Whatever you ask for in faith, believe you have received it, it will be yours.~ Mark 11:24 But now I realize that I have been quite attached to the specifics and have had to surrender them more deeply than ever. The great gift in this, is the peace that passeth understanding. The great truth in it is that my success may well have to be in this centeredness in the eye of the storm rather than in taming the actual storm. I have been fighting so hard to stay in integrity and now I am simply & fully surrendering .... it could very well mean bankrupcy & foreclosure but no matter what it definitely means practicing radical acceptance and forgiveness. And another surprise effect is surfacing ... a sense of answered prayer even though I don't seem to be getting at all what i've been asking for with faith ... and with great faith. Ah, that divine fine line between free will & God's will, my action steps and letting go & letting God. I think the gift of peace that passeth understanding comes and perhaps can only come with radical acceptance and forgiveness. No one does or teaches this better than Colin Tipping; you can register at his site for free and avail yourself to some of his radical tools: http://www.radicalforgiveness.com "A new interpretation of your situation should allow you to feel its perfection from the spiritual standpoint, and become open to the gift it offers you." ~ Colin Tipping
Summer gets a rushed ending around here .... Jeremiah is back in school and back in soccer. In our prayer time, we discussed affirmations to support him in a new school situation and our underlying home shifts, my little 9 year old guru received it simply & perfectly, "God is taking care of everything." YES! Thank you God. On the soccer field, he & his teammates constantly call out,
"I'm open! I'm open!" So I continue to dream & vision my versions of co-creation while I affirm both of the above in my ongoing let go, let God surrender. I keep my daily appointment knowing all is in divine order and I just have to be on the Patient Plan; ever revealing old blocks I'm concealing, ever receiving new depths of healing. Life just seems so full of paradoxes these days and yet faith is the tie that binds. Now that the time could be coming when I am once again free to leave this rural area where I grew up, I seem to be getting practically bombarded with visions to co-create New Thought, interfaith, inter-generational community right here. Jeremiah had friends over a few times this summer for sleep overs. In the mornings, we had prayer time together ... we sang & prayed to "Mother/Father God" as well as "Lord" and "Jehovah". Home truly is where the heart is and a heart filled with faith will always lead you home. I believe this; with all my faith filled heart. Thank you God!

I had an amazing Soul Song Session with a local healer a few days ago. It was a beautiful gift! Among other things, Gloria K is a Certified Soul Song Healer and her songs washed through every cell of my being bringing peace, Love & harmony with every note. How blessed I am ~ how blessed we all are ~ to have so many healing modalities available! Thank you God! Sept. 21st
The International Day of Peace & Call for Global Ceasefire

This amazingly successful day was started with one independant filmaker's vision. In 1998, Jeremy began outreach for Peace One Day to establish a day for peace, a worldwide day of global ceasefire. After some years, the United Nations voted it in as a day dedicated to peace apart from politics or religion. You can meet Jeremy and see the mini history of the movement here: http://mypeace.tv/video/an-introduction-to-peace-one and visit the Peace One Day site to see the effects & plans worldwide as well as commit to your own participation: http://www.peaceoneday.org

There is a wonderful woman honoring the day in gathering children worldwide in song; I am exploring ways to be singing along from this corner ... you too? Join the Children Singing for Peace at http://www.childrenforapeacefulworld.com/

On a long journey of human life, faith is the best of companions; it is the best refreshment on the journey; and it is the greatest property. ~ Buddha

Acorn & Oak New Thought Families
Circles & CDs:
Test Of Faith?

In the evolution and re-creation of New Thought Families in action, we are feeling called to further explore our immediate geographical area in an effort to co-create more conscious community circles. We are also gearing up to offer our performances & playshops out to churches again ~ with or without our new CDs in our hands! While we are still dedicated to our multi-media ministry, we miss the connection of the circle. So, for now, we are looking to initiate event(s) around September 21 and our
Gratitude Day Retreat is set at Piccolo Pastures on November 21st.

Our CD project remains status quo a.k.a. in limbo ... definitely on the Patient Plan as we continue to practice fortitude, forgiveness & lots of faith ... the CDs that began production in June 08 and re-began in June 09 should be finished ... After our tech producer landed in the hospital and was prayed back out again, our last word was Ag 5, "The cuts, splices, and edits for all tracks are generally done.  I’m going through now and mopping up errant noises and artifacts before final mix/master." Sounds promising, hugh? So now what's left but to follow the Divine words I'm singing, When you believe, you see it, so see it now! Know it & see it; with grateful joy believe it. Love it & feel it; with grateful joy, believe it. Believe it now! Believe in faith ~Laurie Story, Ask In Faith ~ Trust What You Hear. The tricky part is, what if the CDs are forthcoming but another June down the road?! Inconceivable!! Even our stalwart & unceasing cheerleader Executive Producer Yogi Keith Lickey uttered that unthinkable thought today .... "You could start again, the songs are worth the wait, etc." Oi Vay! I'm NOT foreclosing on this one yet soooooooooooooo ... We'll let you know when the new CDs are in our hands ... keep the faith & sing a prayer! Meanwhile, you can see & read lyrics online with a sneak peak at their CD pages: In Our Hands is here & Trust What You Hear is here.

I’m gonna listen, I’m gonna know
I’m gonna open, I’m gonna grow
I’m gonna love, I’m gonna flow ..

Web Site: Faith Walk In Cyber Space! Free Heart!
I have one life and one chance to make it count for something . . . I'm free to choose what that something is, and the something I've chosen is my faith. Now, my faith goes beyond theology and religion and requires considerable work and effort. My faith demands -- this is not optional -- my faith demands that I do whatever I can, wherever I am, whenever I can, for as long as I can with whatever I have to try to make a difference.
~ Jimmy Carter

This month our New Thought Families web site is celebrating faith. Our Faith Walk Calendar has daily inspirations of pictures, prayers, song & spoken word. There is silly & sacred invitations to play & pray and affirm faith. We offer this intergenerational opportunity to connect with each other and with God in our cyber prayground. Our music video repeats from last month, Ask In Faith . Our In Our Hands Living Green segment took the month off while Joy Boy's FaithSteps cartoon grew into the first
World Peace Family StorE Book!

Our intention to create & re-create our Spiritual ABC pages this summer was not realized. We do have a new format and a new Faith page. We will continue to progress as the site patiently & prayerfully moves forward with faith and fortitude ... Our other site has taken most of the cyber time and energy this summer with it's makeover and re-launch of the Laurie's Stories Leaping Literacy Online Library. Anyone interested in rhyming fun and literacy development, we invite you to https://www.lauriesstories.com/ where we put the FUN in literacy FUNdamentals because children deserve play time & literacy lasts a lifetime. This website first launched in 2000 and I have been in service to Laurie's Stories for 20 years ~ talk about a blind faith walk! This work and my commitment to it begs the question like no other in my life ... at what point do you give up? Since I believe and have faith in both Laurie's Stories & New Thought Families, my answer must echo the sentiments of Jimmy Carter (above) and thereby I continue to do what I can as who I am. Thank you God!
