Prayer Wheels
Animated Mani Wheel

Tibetan Buddhists believe that saying the mantra (prayer) Om Mani Padme Hum, invites the blessings of Chenrezig, the embodiment of compassion.

HisHoliness, the Dalai Lama, has said that having the mantra on your computer works the same as a traditional Mani wheel. As the digital image spins around on your hard drive, it sends the peaceful prayer of compassion to all directions and purifies the area.

Rosary beads
Prayer beads are used to keep count of prayer repetitions or devotions and they are used in many religions. Catholics, and some Anglicans, use beads to pray the Rosary - a traditional set combination of prayers and meditations. Muslims, Buddhists, and Sikhs all use prayer beads as aids to counting.

Prayer Flags

Candles

The use of candles is shared by most religions.
They signify light in periods of darkness, and life overcoming death. From Diwali to Hanukkah, societies the world over use candles to represent the way to goodness. Candles remain amongst the most potent symbols of peace in our time.
