Hope: Expectation Of Good.
For the inspiration of
Martin Luther King, Jr. & Barack Obama, we give thanks!
In Obama's Inauguration speech, he called for global unity:
"To the people of poor nations, we pledge to work alongside you to make your farms flourish and let clean waters flow; to nourish starved bodies and feed hungry minds. And to those nations like ours that enjoy relative plenty, we say we can no longer afford indifference to suffering outside our borders; nor can we consume the world's resources without regard to effect.
For the world has changed, and we must change with it."

There is a call to participate in service by President Obama; it is Ghandi's call "To be the change" and act in service ~ http://www.usaservice.org

Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968) did so much to inspire, give hope, and secure more civil rights in America. A Baptist minister and an activist for peace and justice, he was the youngest person to receive the Nobel peace Prize in 1964. His life and legacy still brings hope into countless hearts today.
We must accept finite disappointment, but we must never lose infinite hope.
~Martin Luther King, Jr.
Rosa sat so Martin could walk,
Martin walked so Barack could run,
Barack ran so we all can fly.

Martin Luther King, Jr. (August 4, 1961 ) is America's 44th President elect taking office January 20, 2009. An inspirational speaker who reminds our hearts of Dr. King, he is the embodiment of the Dr.'s dream to end segregation ... we are now a nation led by the first Afican-American President ... and we are led with hope and inspiration.
We've been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope. But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope. ~ Barak Obama
Hope: Yes We Can
Do we participate in a politics of cynicism or a politics of hope? Americans... still believe in an America where anything's possible - they just don't think their leaders do.
~ Barack Obama
